Welcome to San Roque
San Roque is rivaled only by The Mesa in terms of family friendliness. Mainly occupying a grid of streets northwest of the Mission, the neighborhood is flat, green, and riddled with the delight of childhood laughter. Public and private schools are both located within San Roque, while grocery stores, restaurants, and shops are merely a few blocks away.
About
Upper State Street, the district’s southern boundary, can be followed directly to the heart of downtown. The relative ‘inland’ geography generally corresponds to warmer temperatures and plenty of sun.
San Roque Life
Sidewalks are rare, but slow, stop signed streets encourage safe neighborhood fun and a sociable atmosphere. Homes are unique and distinctly ‘Santa Barbara.’ Although San Roque is not on the water, gorgeous mountain views and activities more than make up the difference. Residents are certain it’s the best part of town.
